A Purpose Given Is A Mission Worth Living

The National Coalition has a purpose. We have come to the realization that our lives are subject to, or influenced by, the decisions of others. We know from personal experience that not everyone has "our" best interests at heart, so we are usually careful. Unfortuneately, when it comes to our National politics, most of us are either lost, confused, or just plain apathetic. The most important decisions made concerning our lives are all too often made by those who represent us in Congress. For many decades, career politicaians have run our lives, our businesses, and even some of our families. Our founding fathers believed in a "small" government footprint, when it came to their lives, because they recognized that "greed" fuels the purpose for many human beings. It's a part of human nature!

As a nation of free thinkers and believers, we Americans need to adopt better principles and regulations for those serving as our representatives. The National Coalition for Social and Political Reform, Inc., is right on board with that idea. For many decades, career politicians have been royally screwing us out of our resources, and as evidenced by our current social, political, and economic situations, have taken us on a path of self destruction. We're not sure why we have been so careless in our responsibilities to assure that justice remains pure and true, or to assure that those that represent us do so in a manner that is consistent with the best of human qualities. What we at the National Coalition want to do is repair or eliminate the causes of our systemic failures, and return America to a true representative republic that has no tolerance for corruption, cruelty or injustice.

Finally, finding your mission in life is not difficult, nor is it an arduous task. It does however require a commitment and dedication on your part to transform yourself from the inside out and grab a hold of a mission in life that is devoted to yourself, your community, and to help build a more humane and perfecting society.

These days there's a mad rush to be purpose driven and I whole heartly agree, it is better to be purpose driven than going in reverse or to be stuck in neutral. However, why would I be content to be just purpose driven and not living my life's mission on purpose? I believe the real reason most people are okay with being just purpose driven is because they don't know how to identify their real purpose for existing or what a mission is, as they interact with the rest of the world. If you're reading this article, this is a day that was created for you to begin living your life with a purpose, on purpose--finding a mission for life!

The (buzz) word "purpose' can be intuitively substituted for a number of words, some of which could be reason, intention, intent, use, idea, objective, aim, function or determination. But, in my opinion, a purpose is the reason why we exist--to fulfill a specific task that only you can fulfill at a specific time and season here on the earth. A purpose should not, but often times is confused with a person's mission. Purpose and mission are different. A mission is a goal, or a particular business, occupation, profession or trade. Once again, purpose is your intended reason for being. Most people live out their lives fulfilling their missions, not their purpose. They have prepared themselves for a chosen field or profession. Since they do not know their purpose, they work in that field, unhappy for many years, and then retire. They never venture out to find out what makes them happy the most. I've finally mentioned the operative word---HAPPY, on purpose!

Although happiness is evident when you are fulfilling a meaningful mission, there are several other key virtues that inspire happiness. First, how do we begin to find what our purpose is in life is when life is all about "me?" Why am I here? Like everything else in life, finding your purpose begins with understanding of who you are. Understanding one's self is a process that most people neglect or choose not to go through because they don't care why they exesit, or want to examine and evaluate. themselves. Doing so is the beginning of identifying your purpose. I believe one of the most powerful forces in the universe is love, and another is our ability to choose our own destiny. A single action is derived from a thought. One of my favorite sayings is: "The me I see, is the me I'll be." In other words, I must begin to see myself as I'd to be, and not as I am.

Deciding to change your way of thinking about yourself is paramount if you want to find your purpose,  but there's something more important to consider. Identifying your mission in life is discovering the spiritual part of you. You must become spiritually focused and develop a meaningful relationship with God or a higher power. Some people don't believe that there is a God, but just because the belief exists, does not mean that God does not exist. Research has suggested that people who have engaged and nurtured a personal relationship with God live healthier, happier, successful and longer lives than those who do not. It is out of the "spiritual you" that you will determine and establish your moral and personal value system. Your own beliefs of right and wrong, to live your life according to those very beliefs without compromising them for anyone or any thing. And as you continue on the path to living your purpose, don't forget to mentally see yourself living a purpose, on purpose.
